Note: 16 Weeks will count towards the Sunday, 60 Plus and 5 Day Members Trophy 

72 Hole Competition
The 72 Hole Competition will now run from Sunday 6th to Wednesday 16th July 2014

• Played from the White Tee Markers
• The 4 rounds can be played at any time during the week, but only first 4 rounds played will count.
• You can play only one round per day
• Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday competitions will count towards the 72 Hole Competition
• 5 Day Members must write ‘5 Day’ on the score card they wish to count towards the 5 Day Members Trophy
• All money collected will be paid out in prize money
• Prizes will include Best Stableford, Best Gross and Best Nett
• Full list of prizes will be announced on Tuesday 8th July 2014
• £5 Entrance Fee - Closing date for entries is Sunday 6th July 2014
• Entrance fee to be placed into an envelope with your name and 72 Hole Competition clearly marked on the outside.
• Envelopes should be placed into the Match & Handicap Slot of the Cabinet.

Irish Junior Cup Qualifying is at Greenacres on Sunday 1st June; with our own club teeing of at 8:30am.

The Ulster Cup and the Ulster Fourball teams both won at the weekend have progressed to the second where they play Blackwood and Narin & Portnoo respectively.

The Belfast & District unfortunately did not progress to the second round and the Holt Shield lost their second of six matches in the competition.

This weekend is the Jimmy Bruen Qualifying at Carindhu.

Hole in One

Congratulations to two of our members:

Phillip Blackburne scored a Hole-In-One at the 16th hole on 20/04/2014 while taking part in the Sunday Competition

Hugh O'Neill scored a Hole-In-One at the 16th hole on 21/04/2014 while taking part in the Easter Monday Competition

They have both qualified for the H1Club, an exclusive organisation for golfers who have scored a hole-in-one.

All HowDidiDo golfers that score a hole-in-one in a qualifying competition where the score can be verified by the HowDidiDo system will be eligible to receive a special edition H1Club watch from BOSS Watches.

Competitions
The Midweek competition will revert back to a Wednesday only.

The 60 Plus and 5 Day Members will start on Monday 31st March and the first week of the Sunday Trophy will be held on Sunday 6th April.

Saturday 5th April 2014 will be a stroke sweep over 18 holes. 
Saturday 12th April 2014 - Millennium Cup & 36 Holes Seniors Round 1

Tee Times
We are back to the Summer start sheet:

Sat 5th April - first group out at 7am – 40 min delay 
Sat 12th April - first group out at 6:44 am – 24 min delay 
Sat 19th April - first group out at 6:36 am – 16 min delay

Exact tee times can be checked via the touch screen in the members room or on the howdidido.co.uk website.

Full instructions on how to book / cancel tee times can be found on the club website.

Membership Fee

Members will be removed from the club computer week beginning Sunday 6th April if they have still not paid their club membership fees.

ABF The Soldiers’ Charity Event

Dear Diane,

ABF The Soldiers’ Charity (formerly the Army Benevolent Fund) is to hold a Four Ball Tournament at Galgorm Castle Golf Club on Wednesday 9^th July at 11am.  The price is £40 per head.  For this, players will get a bacon buttie and a cuppa before tee-off, a round of golf on a first class course and a sit down meal afterwards.  We will have some great prizes on offer too.  (Top Team, Top Individual, Longest Drive & Nearest the Pin)  I wondered if any of your regulars would care to take part?

I am also keen to promote our competition amongst the ladies, so please do pass this on to any of your lady golfers.  All proceeds will go to aid soldiers, ex-soldiers and their families in times of need.

Competitions
The Midweek competition will run Monday through to Friday for one last week and will revert back to a Wednesday competition next week.

The 60 Plus, 5 Day Members and Sunday Trophy's will start week commencing Monday 31st March. Further details can be found on the club website.  Club Competitions

Saturday 29th March 2014 will be a Stableford sweep over 14/18 holes and from the grass tees if the weather permits.

Saturday 5th April 2014 will be a Stroke sweep over 18 holes.

Tee Times
We will revert back to the Summer Start sheet from Saturday 29th March but the tee times will delayed by 40 minutes for the 29th March and the 5th April. The Prize Night / Winter League Dinner is Saturday 29th March at 7:30pm in Barnaby's. Please contact Robert Blundell if you plan to attend or no longer can make the dinner.
