Under normal circumstances the course would be closed, but because we haven't played consistently over the last number of weeks the Winter League competition will be on today.

The course is wet!!

As the greens had snow on them until 10am, the ground underneath was frozen and the rain is lying on the course the chances of all 18 holes being open in the morning are very slim. If we are lucky a limited numbers of holes will be open to enable us to hold a sweep competition.

As well the website being updated, text and emails alerts will be sent out after the course has been inspected

2010 Men’s Irish Mail All-Ireland Fourball Competition

As winners of the 2009 Matchplay Pairs competition Paul & Don Sturgeon will represent the club in the 2010 Men’s Irish Mail All-Ireland Fourball Competition.

They have drawn Gracehill away in the first round which has to be played by 13th April.

PGA Tankard

The Northern Ireland Final of the PGA Tankard Competition will be held at Balmoral Golf Club on Thursday 7th Ocotber 2010. The overall winner of our qualifying competition will represent the club at this event.

Last years qualifier Mark Magee won the final when he represented the Club at Castlerock Golf Club.

2010 Competitions

The first of the Saturday competitions of 2010 season will be the Pollock Shield on Saturday 3rd April.

The aim is to hold the first Wednesday competition on 31st March, if not they will resume on the 7th April.


Captains Day will be held on 12th June with a proposed repeat of last years President's Day activities to be held on 11th September 2010.

AGM Nominations

The council of Greenacres (Men’s) Golf Club for 2010/2011 in preparation for the Annual General Meeting to be held in The Golf Centre, 153 Ballyrobert Road, Ballyclare on Tuesday 16th March 2010 at 7.30pm have proposed the council for the year 2010/2011.
