Captains Day

The countdown to Captains Day has began. Just a few days left to the famous par 3 competition and like Augusta, the winner of the par 3 competition has never won Captains Day! Will history be made this year?.

Important: The menu choice will be limited to chicken or beef if tear of slip is not returned by 5pm on Thursday.

Continued Success for Junior Cup Team

Last night the Junior Cup Team travelled to Fortwilliam Golf Club and beat Balmoral Golf Club to progress to the next round. Congratulations to David Murphy, Robin Johnston, Declan Hughes, David Thompson and especially Conor McErlane. 


With four matches finished and the match still all square, Conor had an ever increasing gallery as he played the last three holes. A par putt on the 17^th was good enough to break the deadlock and half in five was enough to seal the match at the 18^th.

We wish the team captain Mark Hardy and the rest of the lads every success in the next round.

Greenacres Junior Cup Team Qualify.

Congratulations to the Junior Cup Team. David Murphy, Declan Hughes, David Thompson, Phillip Mckeown and Robin Johnston who qualified 4th place in tough conditions on Sunday. Greenacres now play Balmoral Golf Club in the matchplay stages at Fortwilliam Golf Club. Date to be confirmed.

Competition Sign In

Every time a member sign's into a competition the computer will now print a small label with the members name, handicap, competition name, competition date and sign in time.

This label should be attached to a score card and presented to the starter on a Saturday or the Centre's Reception for all other competitions.

Members will not be allowed to pay their entrance fee for the competition until they produce a card with the label attached.

East Antrim League team won their first match at home against Whitehead 3 1/2 - 1 1/2

Wednesday 11th May 2011
The East Antrim League team travelled to Ballyclare where they were beat 4 -1

Sunday 15th May 2011
The Irish Mixed Foursomes team did not qualify at Ballyclare after posted a score of 319.
