After losing away to Loughgall on Sunday 25th April the Ulster 4Ball Team will be looking for a big win at home on Sunday 2nd May to progress to the second round.
Also on Sunday a team will go to Ballymena for the Jimmy Bruen Shield qualifying competition.

Captains May Day Trophy
Club Captain Terry Johnston invites all members to take part in the inaugural Captains May Day Trophy competition.
Date: Monday 3rd May 2010
Entrance Fee: £3 includes 2’s
Format: Stableford
Competition Details:
The Captains May Day Trophy will be awarded to the overall winner and presented at the annual prize night.
There will be vouchers for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in two sections:
Section 1: Handicaps up to 14
Section 2: Handicaps 15 and over
50p of the entrance fee will go towards the 2’s Competition
A limited number of slots are available exclusively for the club between 8am and 10am. Please add you name to the start sheet on the main notice board.
Outside of these times you can still enter the competition but you need to book your tee time via the Golf Centre.

Ulster Cup
The Ulster Cup team Captained by Ian Magee beat Rathmore yesterday to progress to the 2nd round against either Cushendall or Strabane.
After winning 6 - 1 at home, Mark Hardy and Club Captain Terry Johnston secured the two points necessary to progress at Rathmore with 2 & 1 wins.

Matchplay Competitions
The draws for the Matchplay Singles and Pairs competitions can now be found on the Club Competitions page of the website.
Members are asked to make contact with your opponent as soon as possible to arrange your match to ensure all rounds are completed on time.

Inter-Club Competitions - Sunday 11th April
Greenacres Golf Club has got of to a mixed start this year in the inter-club competitions.
Although Paul and Don Sturgeon were beaten at Gracehill in the Irish Mail Fourball Competition, the Ulster Cup team Captained by Ian Magee have won the home leg against Rathmore 5 and 1.

On Sunday the 11th April the Ulster Cup team will host Rathmore and last years doubles winners Paul and Don Sturgeon will represent the club at Gracehill in the Irish Mail Fourball Competition.
Saturday 10th April
On Saturday the 10th April we are going to try a slightly different format; Division 1 players will play a stroke competition and Division 2 & 3 will play a stableford competition.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division as normal.
