Happy New Year to all members any friends of Greenacres Golf Club.

Saturday 1st January 2011

The stableford competition on Saturday 1st January 2011 will be played over two 9 hole courses 4A and 4B.

There will be no start sheet in operation and the scores will NOT count towards the winter league.

Handicap Review

At the end of the Winter League all handicaps will be restored back to as they were on 31st October 2010 with the exception of the following members who have had their handicap adjusted as part of the end of year handicap review:

2010 AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Greenacres (Men's) Golf Club will be held in the Golf Centre on Tuesday 15th March 2011 at 7:30 pm.

Saturday 11th / Sunday 12th December 2010

Due to the overnight thaw, the course has been opened and the green's are in play.

There will be a competition today over two 9 hole courses (1a and 1b) but the scores will not count towards the Winter League.

The Sunday stableford will run as normal tomorrow

Saturday 11th / Sunday 12th December 2010

Although the thaw has started the course is still covered in snow so there will be no competition on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th December 2010.

Team Captains

The golf club council want to invite volunteers to captain our teams through the 2011 season. Competitions include the Ulster Cup, Jimmy Bruen Shield, Holt Shield, East Antrim League, Junior Cup, Irish Mixed Foursomes, Pierce Purcell, the Ulster Fourball, North Antrim Shield, and Belfast & District.

The captain’s role involves managing the team through practice, team selection organisation and completion of matches. The club council want to give an opportunity for all members including 2010 team captains to get involved in this side of club management.

There will be no competition on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December 2010 as the course remain closed.
